– For A Minor Reflection –

I saw a couple of bands during the Iceland Airwaves Festival 2013. It was amazing, but

also a little bit boring without my friends – I was the only one with a wristband (Takk to Airwaves!).

Anyway I listened to some amazing Icelandic bands like Valdimar and Soley! I really liked

them. A highlight was also Omar Souleyman from Syria. He made the crowd bounce and

I was even more happy when I realized, that I was standing next to Björk!

Walking through the night in Reykjavik is kinda magical. Or it was the other night.

 We went to a costume party at Karamba. It was fun in the beginning and creepy in the end.

Nothing more to add here. Just a regular party night in Reykjavik.

It's Friday, Friday nanana... and I got a cupboard – thanks to Arctic Adventures! :-) Not living 

out of my bags anymore, yeah! I also got an Icelandic phone number, feels good to have

everything done now. After working at the office (check our blog out here, that's what we

are doing, when are not on trips...) I went back to my attic and run into a bunch of people. 

So we went out dancing to Lebowski Bar, not without stopping by at Bunk for happy hour.

And some other places, like Kex – where a live band was playing. It was really nice there! 

After that we went to Lebowski to dance. But I have to say, I really am a german girl. A little 

distances and critical before I really do talk and stuff with new people. But I had no chance

to be like that on the dance floor. There were so many crazy people just dancing around like

nobody is watching. Really. I had so much fun to look at them, but if I stood still only for two

seconds, just to watch some person with funny dance moves, someone caught my hand and

 spun me around. And I had to dance again! But I really like to dance, so I like it that way.

So yesterday after the caving, I came home and discovered, that I have a room-mate. A 

really nice girl from Sweden. Probably the most positive person I've met so far. She had 

some people over at our place to warm up for the Arctic Adventures summer season ending 

party. So I've met some other guides, they are all pretty funny. After dressing ourselves up, 

we went down to "Bunk". (I told you before, that I live at Reykjavik Backpackers, so they 

have a really nice bar as well – Bunk. At the moment it is a place-to-be.) After being there 

for a while we headed over to the official party at Harlem. And then it got crazy. 

So today is "Hangover Monday". First day at work. Nothing more to add. Thumbs up!
