– Blue Mountains –

Today I went caving – which means, you drive out of Reykjavik to the Blue Mountains, 

walking a bit and enter a little hole in the ground. This cave is called Leiðarendi and you 

can discover the lava tubes and some crazy rock formations like the alien. Our guide (we 

were only a group of two) Palle told us some amazing stories about the history of Iceland, 

the caves and also the elfs – the hidden people. In Icelandic they are called álfar or 

huldufólk. And if you are honest and look at these photos, you have to admit, this is 

for sure the place where these creatures live.
