– Solheimjokull –

Today was amazing. I have never been on a glacier like this before. I went skiing on 

glaciers, but never walked on them. With an axe in my hands and crampons on my shoes,

we hiked up Solheimjokull. (I tried to say this name out load, but like every name here in

Iceland, it's a total tongue-twister for me). We tasted the fresh, cold glacier water and even

did some ice-climbing. That was real fun and we will coming back soon. Our guide, told

us that the glacier will look even more beautiful during the winter time, without the black 

ash from the volcano. Can't wait to see that!
